Job description

Our company is a stimulation and challenging place to work, and we now have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Management Accountant to join our Finance Team. We are looking for someone who has a passion for numbers, is a real team player, has a high attention to detail and understands the importance of confidentiality.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and reviewing detailed monthly management accounts for the Board
  • Preparing of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, with support from the Finance Assistants
  • Review and submitting of VAT returns and payments
  • Provision of other financial reports and analysis as required by the business, including in relations to financial audits
  • Banking and cash management
  • Supporting the wider business with financial queries
  • Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors
  • Ensuring timely submission of year-end information
  • Monitoring controls, including aged debtors, purchase orders, and payroll
  • Participating in the creation of annual operational budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the management team

Role Requirements:

  • Previous professional experience in a similar role is preferable
  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office suite, with advanced Excel proficiency
  • High levels of accuracy & attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive attitude with a commitment to integrity and dedication
  • Experience in financial analysis and giving presentations

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, approx. 16 hours per week

Location:

  • Lichfield: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
